My name is Scott Batey and I am a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser for Advanced Appraisal Services. I am relatively new to the appraisal world after spending twenty-plus years in the trucking business. Doing appraisals is a great way to see different areas and what is going on with the housing market. I grew up in Nashville and graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I fell in love with the town and everything about it. It has been great to watch this city grow over the years with new development in areas such as downtown, the Old City, and South Knoxville while maintaining its culture and charm.
Knoxville is a fantastic place to live and do business. My wife Gini has been a Jazzercise instructor for more than twenty-five years. She also graduated from UT and we are both huge Vol fans. We have two adult children and two grandchildren. We enjoy traveling and love skiing, the beach, and especially all the great places to visit, wine, and dine in the South.
